Hi, I’m Pieter,
As a developer, I create digital apps such as Proxybeuker, Thuisbezorgd Roulette, and PointsParrot. My (side)projects have been featured by RTL Nieuws, Algemeen Dagblad, 3FM, and others.
Before the whole corona shenanigans, I worked as a video producer for international events.
This website is my digital scratchpad. I publish blogs, a newsletter, notes, unfinished scribbles, and projects I’ve created.
This is a standing invitation: if you want to talk about software, crypto, tech, or blogging I want to talk to you. So feel free to get in touch or set up a (virtual) coffee.
Here are my frequently asked questions (well not really because absolutely no one asked for this haha).
Why do you write online?
I find writing helps me think more clearly and structure my thoughts. Everything on this website is mostly a reminder to myself.
Also, when following people on social media, I see what people do but not what they think. I’m sharing my perspective on the world by writing and in turn, hope other people do so as well. The world would be more fun if people connected in this way.
What do you write about?
Whatever I’m interested in at the moment. Perhaps you like it as well. You probably ended up here after searching for something related to:
What have you done?
• 🌏 (Co-)produced videos on 4+ continents
• 👨💻 Created software to speed up in-house video encoding workflow
• 📨 Weekly newsletter curating the best articles, links, and trends from the internet
What’s your tech stack?
HTML – Javascript – CSS – Express – NodeJS – React – Angular – MongoDB – Firebase – Python – Figma – WordPress – WebFlow – Google Analytics – Google Ads
What else are you into?
I enjoy dabbling in new hobbies which I abandon and pick up again in a vicious circle. Spending time alone tinkering and thinking, hanging out with friends, working out, traveling ✈️, coffee ☕️, pizza 🍕. As well as long random walks in cities I haven’t been to before.
What are your favorite books, articles, and videos?
Have a look at my Top List. If you like most of these as well we’d probably get along.
What are you doing now?
Have a look at my now page or WIP profile.
What gear do you use?
Have a look at my uses page.
What do you want to do when you grow up?
I like to be able to create things. Such as web applications, blogs, and videos in a small team of people who complement each other’s skills.
You seem cool, how can we connect?
The best way to stay in touch is by subscribing to my newsletter. I share my latest blog and everything interesting I found that week.
Feel free to get in touch or set up a (virtual) coffee. If you want to share, ask or connect you can reach out to me at any of these platforms:
